About the event
Kevin is an MPH candidate at Wayne State University who has dedicated his career to HIV advocacy, harm reduction, and the decriminalization of sex work. This workshop will explore the intersection of climate change, HIV care, and healthcare policy, analyzing how environmental stressors and political shifts influence access to essential services. Through case studies, policy analysis, and community-driven strategies, attendees will gain insight into the lived experiences of those most affected by these issues. The session will also provide practical advocacy tools to push for climate-resilient healthcare policies, sustainable HIV funding, and inclusive public health interventions.
By centering health equity and social justice, this session equips healthcare providers and advocates with the knowledge and strategies to address climate-related disruptions and policy threats, ensuring that people living with and impacted by HIV receive the care they deserve despite systemic challenges.
