Larry Junck, MD, Biosketch

Dr Junck served for his entire career as a neurologist for University of Michigan, where he is now Active Emeritus Professor. He served as director or co-director of the brain tumor program for over 20 years.  Awards include the Outstanding Clinician Award for Michigan Medicine. He continues to serve on the board of directors of the Michigan State Medical Society and Washtenaw County Medical Society. 

 

His climate-related activities include the following:

  • Board of Directors of Michigan Clinicians for Climate Action (MiCCA).

  • Founder and leader of Michigan Medicine Climate Voices (MMCV).

  • Co-founder/co-leader of Neurologists Interested in Climate & Health (NICHe).

  • With Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL), he serves as liaison to our representative in Congress.

 

He has given many talks related to climate change and air pollution.

​Kevin Chadwick Davis

Kevin Chadwin Davis is a nationally recognized advocate committed to HIV prevention, harm reduction, and the decriminalization of sex work. His work sits at the intersection of public health, policy, and justice—driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to equitable, affordable, and accessible heathcare. Through both lived experience and grassroot activism, he works to dismantle the systemic barriers that deepen health inequities— especially in the face of climate change and political regression. Grounded in his personal mantra, “Always believe the impossible is possible,” Kevin approaches advocacy with bold vision where health equity is not only possible, but a guarantee.

Dr Aisha Harris

Dr Aisha Harris, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician who owns and works at Harris Family Health, a direct primary care clinic in her hometown of Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL.

She is a professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine where she works as the Assistant Director of Leadership in Medicine for the Underserved and the Assistant Clerkship Director of the family medicine clerkship in Flint.

Her community and outreach work focuses on improving health literacy and access through her BLK FAM DOC platform and helps combat health disparities through health education and advocacy initiatives.

Additionally, she is the chair of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians' advocacy committee and was a 2024 Climate and Health Equity Fellow for the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health.

Elizabeth (Lisa) Del Bueno

After completing her residency in anatomic pathology at the University of Michigan and staying on as an assistant professor for a short time, Lisa spent most of her professional career practicing in Traverse City, MI with expertise in GI and breast pathology. In 2012, Lisa woke up to the fact that our climate was rapidly changing and that urgent collective action was needed. So, in early 2013, she became a Citizens' Climate Lobb (CCL) volunteer and co-leads CCL's Health Action Team. In early 2020, Lisa co-founded Michigan Clinicians for Climate Action (MiCCA) with the desire to utilize the trusted healthcare voice to educate the public and policymakers about the health benefits of addressing climate change. Steven Ashmead MD:

Steve is a retired Family Physician previously in clinical practice in Grand Rapids. During his career he worked for 30+ years as an educator of family medicine physicians and Michigan State University medical students. His passion is to address the crises of climate change so that we can leave a sustainable planet for future generations.
